A new piece was recently created in hopes that it will turn into a small body of work. The sculpture consists of a full size dining room chair split in half – the piece is suspended on a welded steel frame which is connected to a work vice. The piece has the ability to open and close to appear more or less open depending on the desired view.

A new video piece has been completed in preparation for an upcoming American Roulette exhibition in Las Vegas, NV.
When She Says Baby depicts a 1:12 miniature recreation of Mandalay Bay room 32134, one of the rooms that was used during the 10/01/2017 mass shooting of the Route 91 Country Music Festival in Las Vegas. The piece exists as a video and photo documentation of the space initially bleeding and ultimately collapsing into itself. The piece is part of series of 1:12 miniature recreations of mass shooting sites throughout the country. The title stems from the song Jason Aldean was playing onstage when the shooting started. There are two versions of the video, one of them includes Jason Aldean’s “When She Says Baby” towards the end of the video.
I am excited to announce that I recently joined American Roulette, an art collective which strives to open a dialogue about guns, gun culture and gun violence through visual art. I am excited to continue my work and contribute to the message the collective strives to engage. For a full list of the artists involved please visit American Roulette
As a recent member of the TEXAS SCULPTURE GROUP, my video piece, Amalgamation is being shown at The State of Sculpture: an All-Member Exhibition in beautiful San Angelo, TX.
Check out the new work added to the Photo Gallery.
I recently completed a new video piece for an upcoming exhibition which deals with gun violence in the U.S. The piece is titled “Fading Echo of Numb Decay” – it is a statement on the over saturation, numbness and confusion that is created through the constant barrage of gun violence related reporting in the country. The video slowly melds into a frenzy of noise and flickers that ultimately reveals nothing. This is the first iteration of the video, more will follow as additional video footage is gathered. Stay tuned.
Feel free to check out the proposals/commissions page, I am dedicating the page to document successful and unsuccessful projects I’ve done throughout the years. The most recent project has been uploaded, stay tuned for more projects, commissions and proposals.
